About Repair PDF
A PDF is a database of objects with an index at the end. Interrupted downloads, full disks and buggy generators corrupt that index while the pages themselves are usually intact — rebuilding the index is often all that is needed.
When streams themselves are damaged, the tool recovers what is parseable and rewrites a clean file, so at least the intact pages become usable again.

About the format
