The short version
All tools on CalcBrew are free. The site is funded by display advertising, and some pages may contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and buy something, the merchant pays us a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.
Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links are marked on the page, for example with the word “affiliate” or “partner link” next to the link, and they carry the rel="sponsored" attribute. Ordinary links to sources, official calculators, tax authorities and open-source projects are not affiliate links. As of the date above, CalcBrew has not yet added any affiliate links; this page describes how they will be handled once they appear.
Programs we may take part in
Typical programs for a site like this include the Amazon Associates Program (“As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases”), software and web-hosting referral programs, and financial-product comparison networks. The programs in use will be listed here when they are active.
How this affects our content
Calculator formulas, converter behaviour and editorial text are written independently of any commercial relationship. A calculator result never changes because of an affiliate partner, and we do not rank or recommend products in exchange for a higher commission. Where a tool page links to a product or service, we link to it because it is relevant to the task on that page. If you think a recommendation is wrong or biased, tell us.
Advertising
Display advertisements are served by Google AdSense and other networks. Advertisers do not influence our content, and an advertisement is not our recommendation. Advertising cookies are set only with your consent, see the privacy policy.
Legal basis
This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, all of which require that paid or commission-based links are identifiable as such.
