Convert Robux to dollars — or dollars to Robux — using the two rates people constantly mix up: what Robux costs a player to buy, and what a creator actually receives through DevEx. Updated for the 2025–26 rate changes that most converters still miss.
1,000 Robux costs a player about $9.99, but a creator cashing it out receives only $3.80. Roblox’s effective spread is roughly 2.6× — the platform keeps most of what players pay.

The two prices of a Robux
A Robux effectively has two values. The purchase price is what players pay: about one cent per Robux on the web, and roughly 25% more in the mobile app because Apple’s and Google’s store fees are passed into app prices. The DevEx value is what a developer receives when converting earned Robux to real money — $0.0038 per Robux at the standard rate. The spread is about 2.6×, and Roblox additionally takes 30% of in-game sales before Robux even land in a creator’s balance.
The 2025–26 period changed the Robux economy more than any before it: the DevEx rate rose in September 2025 ($0.0035 → $0.0038), a separate US 18+ rate ($0.0054) launched in June 2026, and Premium was replaced by Roblox Plus without a Robux stipend. Bought on the web, 1,000 Robux costs $9.99. Through the mobile app the same $9.99 buys only about 800 Robux, because app-store fees are passed into prices. Bulk packages are cheaper per Robux: $199.99 buys 24,000 Robux — about $0.0083 each.
The DevEx (Developer Exchange) standard rate is $0.0038 per earned Robux since September 5, 2025 — so 30,000 Robux cashes out to $114. A separate US 18+ rate of $0.0054 launched June 8, 2026 for earnings from age-verified US adult players. The minimum cash-out is 30,000 earned Robux.
Players pay about 1 cent per Robux while creators receive 0.38 cents when cashing out — roughly a 2.6× spread. Roblox keeps the difference to cover platform costs, app-store fees and profit, and it also takes a 30% cut of in-game sales before Robux even reach the creator.
No. DevEx only accepts earned Robux — from selling game passes, developer products, marketplace items or Creator Rewards. Purchased Robux, gift cards, stipends and transfers are not eligible. This is an anti-fraud measure, and it means Robux is not a two-way currency.
No — Premium was discontinued in April 2026 and replaced by Roblox Plus ($4.99/month). Plus has no monthly Robux stipend; instead it gives discounts on Robux-priced purchases (10%, rising to 20% from the third consecutive month), free paid private servers and Robux transfers. Existing Premium subscribers keep their stipend until they cancel.
The DevEx rates are verified against Roblox’s official Developer Exchange documentation, and the as-of date is shown under the converter. Many competing converters still show the old $0.0035 rate that was replaced in September 2025. Package prices are typical US web prices and can vary slightly by region.
