From a player’s dollar to your bank account
A player buys 1,000 Robux for $9.99 and spends them on your game pass. The 30 % marketplace fee leaves you 700 earned Robux, which DevEx turns into $2.66 at the standard rate — about 27 cents of every dollar the player paid, or 38 cents when the player is a verified US adult. That gap is why creators track earned Robux rather than sales, and why the earnings calculator works in net Robux per visit. To see what Robux cost to buy, use the Robux price calculator or the plain Robux to USD converter.
Frequently asked questions
$380 at the standard rate of $0.0038 per earned Robux, about $379 after a $1 bank-transfer fee. If part of it came from age-verified US adult players it is worth more: with half of the spend qualifying for the $0.0054 rate, 100,000 Robux cash out at $460. The old $0.0035 rate still applies to any balance earned before September 5, 2025, which is paid out first.
30,000 earned Robux per request, worth $114 at the standard rate. Only Robux earned from sales, private servers, Creator Rewards and similar count; purchased Robux, gift-card Robux, stipends and traded items do not. You also need to be 13 or older, have a verified email, a DevEx portal (Tipalti) account and a valid tax form (W-9 for US, W-8 elsewhere).
Roblox itself takes nothing at cash-out — its cut was the 30 % marketplace fee when you sold the item. The payment processor charges a fixed fee per payout: around $1 for ACH, SEPA or local bank transfer, about $5 for PayPal (more in some countries), $6 for a paper check and $20–26 for wires, plus a roughly 2–3 % margin when you are paid in a currency other than USD. Cash out less often and by bank transfer to keep fees negligible.
Since June 8, 2026 Roblox pays $0.0054 instead of $0.0038 for Robux earned from developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers bought by US players who verified they are 18 or older. Your Creator Hub analytics show what share of your earnings qualifies; enter that percentage above and the calculator blends the two rates. Marketplace sales and non-US or unverified players stay at the standard rate.
DevEx payouts are taxable income in almost every country; US creators receive a 1099 once payouts exceed $600 in a year. Roblox does not withhold anything, so set money aside. The tax field above is a simple percentage estimate for planning; it is not tax advice.
