Rounded to 5 lb. Standard: High- or low-bar back squat to at least parallel (hip crease below the knee). Main muscles: quads, glutes, adductors, spinal erectors. Squat standards assume full depth. A 1.5× bodyweight squat is a solid intermediate goal; 2× (“two plates” for a 180 lb lifter is 225, so 2× is 360) marks an advanced lifter.
